Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd. is recruiting a full-time Autism Support Assistant in Ponteland to help pupils access learning and develop communication skills within a specialist SEND setting.

You'll provide consistency, encouragement and understanding, supporting emotional regulation and building meaningful relationships with students and staff throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Appropriate qualifications and training for this role are required.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
• Ability to support learners with ASC in a SEND setting.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis throughout the day.
• Encourage communication and interaction with peers.
• Support social and emotional development and independence.
• Assist with personalised learning activities.
• Promote pupil independence, confidence and emotional regulation.
• Work with teachers and specialist staff to tailor support.

Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time Autism Support Assistant to join a specialist SEND setting in Ponteland. You'll support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), helping them access learning, develop communication skills and build meaningful relationships throughout the school day.

By providing consistency, encouragement and understanding, you'll play a vital role in helping pupils achieve positive outcomes.
