Job summary

Academics in Maidenhead is seeking an Autism Support Assistant to provide personalised support to students throughout the school day, working closely with the teaching team. You will deliver targeted interventions, support communication, social interaction and independence, and help students access lessons and take part in school life.

This hands-on role offers valuable experience supporting vulnerable learners with a dedicated team. £90 - £110 per day; Full Time; ASAP Start.

Qualifications

• Experience with autistic children or young people in school, care, nursery, college or community settings.
• Interest in specialist education and helping students develop confidence and independence.
• Ability to build meaningful relationships and support individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised support to students 1:1 or in small groups.
• Deliver targeted interventions based on individual needs.
• Support communication, social interaction, emotional regulation and independence.
• Help students access lessons and participate in school life.
• Record progress and celebrate achievements, big or small.
