Job summary

Academics in Maidenhead is seeking an Autism Support Assistant to provide personalised support to students throughout the school day, working closely with the teaching team. You will deliver targeted interventions, support communication, social interaction and independence, and help students access lessons and take part in school life.

As an Autism Support Assistant, you'll work closely with our teaching team to provide personalised support to students throughout the school day.

Your day could include:

• Supporting students on a 1:1 or small-group basis.
• Delivering targeted interventions designed around individual needs.
• Supporting communication, social interaction, emotional regulation and independence.
• Helping students access lessons and take part in school life.
• Encouraging students to develop new skills and become as independent as possible.
• Recording and celebrating progress, however big or small.
