Job summary

Vision for Education are recruiting an Autism Support Assistant to work in a primary-aged SEND school in Netherley. This is a full-time role (Monday to Friday), starting as soon as possible, with the potential to lead to a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
• Experience with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEN) is a plus.
• Patient, motivated and eager to develop skills in a SEND environment.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND in a primary classroom.
• Assist the teacher with behaviour management and learning activities.
• Support the planning and delivery of individualised learning activities as required.

To be considered for the Autism Support Assistant position, the school have asked for:

• Someone who has worked with children, young people or vulnerable adults in any capacity
• Someone who may have experience with supporting people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
• Someone with great patience, drive and determination
• Someone looking to extend and expand their skillset
