Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a caring Autism Support Assistant for a specialist school in Whiteley. You will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with ASC, helping them build confidence, communication and independence in a nurturing setting.

You will collaborate with teachers and therapists, adapting activities to meet learning needs and promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing. DBS checks apply; SEND/Autism experience and excellent communication skills are desirable.

Qualifications

  • Experience with SEND or Autism is desirable.
  • Patient, caring and adaptable approach.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Passion for helping young people succeed.
  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

You'll support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), helping them build confidence, communication skills and independence in a nurturing learning environment.
