Job summary

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust’s Children and Young People’s Therapies group in Watford is recruiting a 0.8 WTE Band 7 Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist for Autism. You will provide diagnostic assessments, lead on complex case work and work within a MDT across clinics, schools and homes to support CYP and families.

The post requires HCPC-registered SLT, autism expertise, leadership experience, and a full UK driving licence with car access.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered SLT
• Experience in autism assessment
• ADOS-2 training desirable
• Full UK driving licence with access to a car

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialist SLT support for CYP with social communication differences and/or Autism.
• Carry out specialist diagnostic assessments as part of MDT in clinic, school, and home settings.
• Lead and develop others, providing supervision and training within the CYP Therapies service.
• Develop evidence-based intervention plans and management programmes.
• Support SEND reforms and EHCP planning.
• Demonstrate Neuroaffirmative practices.
