Job summary

East of England Community Health & Care NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to lead advanced SLT practice for children with complex needs. This role operates within a busy community service, emphasizing autonomy, evidence-based care, and MDT collaboration.

You will work with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality assessment and intervention, supervise junior staff, and contribute to service development and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration required.
• Experience managing a varied/complex caseload.
• Excellent communication with families and schools.

Responsibilities

• Manage a specialist caseload of children with speech and language needs.
• Deliver evidence-based assessment and intervention.
• Provide supervision and training to SLT assistants/teaching assistants.
• Collaborate with families, schools and MDT partners.
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement.
