Job summary

Linwood School is seeking a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join Springwood Campus, West Howe, for 35 hours per week across 5 days (39 weeks per year, term time + INSET). The role involves planning and delivering lessons, recording assessments, and covering teacher absence within the autism-specific provision.

The successful candidate will support students aged 4–19 with complex needs, under the supervision of teaching staff, in a demanding but rewarding school environment.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification evidence required at interview.
• Experience with autism-focused provision is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver allocated lessons and contribute to recording and assessment.
• Cover the absence of teachers within the designated area.
• Work in partnership with teachers to promote the best learning environment.
