Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a unique school in Headington that supports students diagnosed with Autism and severe learning difficulties. You will work 1:1 or in small groups to help pupils engage with their learning, using a bespoke EYFS-inspired approach and a calm, patient demeanor.

The role is full-time and long-term, with competitive daily pay between £90 and £110, paid PAYE.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Experience supporting children with autism or challenging behaviour.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
• Positive 'can-do' attitude and willingness to get stuck in.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or classroom support to pupils.
• Help pupils engage with learning activities.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and manage behaviour.
• Follow bespoke EYFS-inspired curriculum in a supportive therapeutic setting.
