Job summary

SANZA Teaching Agency are recruiting on behalf of a 3-form entry junior school in Havering (Romford). They are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism and additional needs across KS1 and KS2, delivering 1:1 and small-group support.

You will help pupils develop communication, social and emotional skills, manage behaviour with positive strategies, and work closely with the school team to promote equity and inclusion in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with autism and additional needs.
• Experience as a teaching assistant (or similar) supporting Autism and/or SEN.
• Solid understanding of sensory processing differences and social challenges.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with autism across KS1 and KS2.
• Help pupils develop communication, social and emotional skills.
• Support children with managing behaviour and emotions using positive strategies.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to promote equity and inclusion.
