Job summary

Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust wishes to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 3 at Saint Paul’s Catholic High School in the Autism Resource Provision. The role focuses on providing high-quality, personalised support to pupils with autism, enabling regulation, engagement in learning and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children or young people with SEND, ideally including pupils with autism.
• Good understanding of autism and its impact on communication, sensory processing, anxiety and learning.
• Ability to establish positive, respectful relationships with pupils.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach, especially with anxious pupils.
• Ability to follow individualised plans and implement strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, personalised support to pupils with autism within the Autism Resource Provision.
• Work with teachers, Resource Provision team, pastoral staff, families and professionals to understand and respond to individual pupils' needs.
• Deliver personalised learning programmes and interventions, supporting pupils within the Resource Provision and mainstream lessons as appropriate.

Education

Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent
