Job summary

Saint Paul’s Catholic High School is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 3 for the Autism Resource Provision. You will support pupils with autism, helping them regulate, engage in learning and participate in school life with a calm, autism-informed approach.

You will collaborate with teachers, families and professionals to respond to individual needs and contribute to personalised learning programmes, both within the Resource Provision and in mainstream lessons where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children or young people with SEND, ideally including pupils with autism.
• Understanding of autism and its impact on communication, sensory processing, anxiety and regulation.
• Ability to establish positive, respectful relationships and adapt approaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, personalised support to pupils with autism within the Resource Provision.
• Work with teachers, pastoral staff, families and professionals to respond to individual needs.
• Contribute to personalised learning programmes and interventions across Resource Provision and mainstream lessons.
