Job summary

Saint Paul’s Catholic High School in the Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 3 to work in the Autism Resource Provision. You will provide high-quality, personalised support to pupils with autism, helping them engage with learning and develop independence within a calm, autism-informed setting.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children or young people with SEND, ideally including autism.
• Understanding of autism and its impact on communication, sensory processing, anxiety and learning.
• Ability to establish positive, respectful relationships with pupils.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach supporting anxious or dysregulated learners.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised support to pupils with autism within the Autism Resource Provision.
• Collaborate with teachers, provision team, pastoral staff and families to understand and respond to individual pupils' needs.
• Contribute to the delivery of personalised learning programmes and interventions, supporting pupils within the Resource Provision and, where appropriate, in mainstream lessons.
