Job summary

Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated practitioner to provide high-quality support for pupils with autism within the Autism Resource Provision. You will work closely with teachers, the Resource Provision team, pastoral staff and families to tailor interventions and help pupils regulate, engage, and develop independence across the school day.

You will contribute to personalised learning plans, support pupils in mainstream lessons when appropriate, and maintain accurate

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children or young people with SEND, ideally including pupils with autism.
• Good understanding of autism and its impact on communication, sensory processing, anxiety and environmental demands.
• Ability to establish positive, respectful and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training and continuing professional development.
• Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and improving outcomes for young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, personalised support to pupils with autism within the school's Autism Resource Provision, enabling regulation, engagement in learning, independence and full participation in school life.
• Work closely with teachers, Resource Provision team, pastoral staff, families and professionals to understand and respond to individual pupils' needs using autism-informed approaches.
• Contribute to delivery of personalised learning programmes and interventions, supporting pupils within the Resource Provision and mainstream lessons where appropriate.
• Demonstrate ability to maintain accurate records and communicate observations clearly.
