Job summary

Scottish Autism is recruiting support workers in the South West region to assist autistic people across Biggar, Lanark, Carluke, and residential services in Lamington and Lanark. You will develop personalised support plans, build trusting relationships, and help clients achieve life goals through local activities.

Qualifications

  • Develop, review and implement personalised support plans for the supported individual.
  • Build positive relationships with the supported individual and their circles of support.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure the supported individual’s life goals and aspirations are at the centre of their support.
  • Support individuals to take part in their chosen activities, and access local community opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with daily activities and personal care.
  • Assist with maintaining tenancies and household tasks as needed.
  • Encourage participation in community activities and local opportunities.
  • Work weekend shifts as a core part of the role.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure person-centred plans are delivered.

Pay Scale: Starting at £13.45 per hour, rising to £14.15 at your own pace

Sleepover rate - £107.60 | Full Time & Part Time positions available |Weekend only contracts available

You’ll:

  • Develop, review and implement personalised support plans for the supported individual,

  • Support individuals to take part in their chosen activities, and access local community opportunities,
  • Help maintain their tenancies and support them to make the decisions that matter to them.
  • Promote independence and active citizenship, community inclusin, support with household chores. Required support may include personal care.
  • Holding a full UK Driving License is advantageous.
