Scottish Autism is recruiting for a full-time support worker to join our Edinburgh & Lothian team in Dalkeith. You will help autistic people in a 24-hour residential service to live fulfilling, independent lives and achieve personal goals in a person-centred environment.

The role involves creating personalised support plans, assisting with daily living, personal care with dignity, and helping people engage with their communities. We offer training, pension, and a supportive team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement personalised support plans with the person, their network and stakeholders.
  • Create opportunities and activities within the day service.
  • Build positive relationships with the supported people.
  • Support people with choice and engagement in activities.
  • Be an active part of the local community.
  • Build skills to promote independent living.
  • Provide personal care as required with dignity and respect.

Full-Time Position (s) Available (37hours per week)
Salary: Starting at £ 13.45 per hour, rising to £ 13.67 after probation. Opportunity to progress to £ 14.15 at your own pace.

Our residential service provides support within a shared living environment for five autistic people. Using a person-centred approach, we focus on empowering them to lead fulfilling lives by building independence, providing personal and household support, and creating opportunities to connect with their communities.
