Job summary

Scottish Autism is hiring an Autism Practitioner to support a person in their own home near Auchterarder (PH3 1D). You will build positive relationships with family and stakeholders to shape personalised support that promotes choice, independence and wellbeing using a low arousal approach.

The role involves working in a rural environment with the team and local community. The position offers a rolling rota including days, evenings, sleepovers and weekends, with a focus on compassionate care and

Job description

Starting at £ 1 4 . 46 per hour, rising to £1 4.68 a t Confirmed . Opportunity to progress to £1 5.16 at your own pace. ( Inclusive of rural allowance )

Full and Part Time Positions Available

Additional £ 10 7 . 6 0 for sleepovers worked

About the role:

Join our team at Appletree Housing Support 2:1 Service, near Auchterarder (PH3 1D), where you’ll support an individual in their own home to enjoy the things that matter most to them. As an Autism Practitioner, you’ll get to know the person, build positive relationships with their family and key stakeholders, and help shape personalised support that promotes choice, independence and wellbeing. Using a low arousal approach, you’ll provide tailored support that reflects all aspects of the person’s life, including their autism and PMLD.

Appletree Community is a close-knit, rural environment which supports the low arousal approach you’ll adopt . With excellent indoor and outdoor space, the supported person enjoys time with their team and as part of their local community by participating in a range of activities .
