Sutherland House School, located in the heart of the Creative Quarter in the City Centre, is a non-maintained special school for autistic children and young people aged 3–19. We are seeking a Middle Leader- Person-Centred Practice Lead to influence provision across the school while maintaining a half-time teaching role.

The successful candidate will drive Positive Behaviour Support and person-centred approaches, promoting pupil voice, preferences and aspirations in planning and daily practice.

Formación

• Experience leading person-centred practice across a school.
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Background in autism education or SEND environment desirable; training provided.

Responsabilidades

• Lead strategic development of person-centred approaches across the school.
• Support staff development and monitoring of practice quality.
• Contribute to school improvement priorities and planning.
• Promote and embed person-centred practice, involving pupils in decisions.
• Maintain direct involvement in teaching with a 0.5 teaching commitment.
