Job summary

LDA Care Ltd in Workington is seeking a Team Leader to support an individual with autism and a learning disability. You will balance hands-on care with coordinating a care team, covering shifts as needed and ensuring high-quality daily routines.

The role requires experience in supported living or residential settings, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to lead by example while maintaining calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting individuals with Mental Health.
• Experience as a Senior Support Worker/Team Leader in a Supported Living Setting or Residential Home.
• Excellent communication and teaching skills.
• Strong administrative and organisation skills.
• Computer literate with accurate record keeping.
• Understanding and experience of PBS Practice.
• Able to lead by example.
• Good time management.
• Able to stay calm in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on care supporting the client with daily routines and promoting independence.
• Supervise the care team, manage rotas and coordinate training.
• Conduct in-house induction training for new starters.
• Share outcomes of appointments with the team and implement in routines.
• Write/update Risk Assessments with Service Manager.
• Ensure equipment risk assessments and maintenance are in place.
• Complete/collate timesheets and liaise with Payroll.
• Organise equipment reviews and manage finances and fire checks.
