Job summary

LDA Care Ltd in Paignton is hiring a Team Leader Support Worker to support an individual with autism and learning disabilities in a 24-hour care setting. The role combines hands-on care with supervising the care team, rota management, and training delivery.

The position offers a pay rate of £15.50 per hour, weekend on-call shifts, and a refer-a-friend bonus of £250. Benefits include Perkbox, wellbeing support, ongoing training, pension, paid holidays, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Hands-on care experience with autism/learning disabilities/mental health
• Experience as a Support Worker / Senior Carer
• Strong communication and teaching skills
• Excellent administrative and organisational abilities
• Computer literate with accurate record keeping

Responsibilities

• Hands-on care and support with daily routines; manage rota and cover shifts as needed
• On-call duties and weekend work on a rota
• Supervise care team and coordinate training
• Conduct in-house induction training for new starters
• Ensure outcomes of appointments are shared and implemented in daily care routines
• Write/update risk assessments with Service Manager
• Ensure equipment risk assessments and maintenance are in place
• Complete/collate timesheets and liaise with Payroll
• Organise equipment reviews, finances reconciliation, and weekly fire checks
