Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd in Leeds is seeking dedicated Behaviour Support Workers/Sports Coaches to support in classrooms on a 1:1 basis or in small groups at a Secondary Special Needs School. Roles start ASAP, are full-time, and pay 110-150 per day, Monday to Friday, school hours 8:30am to 3:30pm.

The right candidate may secure a temp-to-perm contract. Experience with autism and challenging behaviours is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with special needs, including challenging behaviours.
• Ability to support students in academic and social development.
• Strong communication with students, parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students.
• Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism.
• Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Help students with daily tasks, such as personal care and hygiene.
• Support students in their academic and social development.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement IEPs for students.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher.
• Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
