Job summary

Clarus Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term ARP position at a primary school in Haringey. The role starts ASAP and is full-time, with a daily pay rate from £110.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups to support seven pupils with Autism within structured, well‑resourced ARP provision. Ideal candidates will have extensive SEN experience, particularly with Autism, and be comfortable with intimate care, safeguarding, and collaboration with teachers and SEND

Qualifications

• Extensive experience supporting children with SEN, particularly Autism.
• Experience in ARP, specialist provision or autism-specific settings.
• Confidence supporting pupils with complex communication needs.
• Comfort providing intimate care and personal care in line with school policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with Autism.
• Support pupils to access learning through structured activities and visual strategies.
• Use proactive approaches to support communication, engagement and positive behaviour.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and individual support plans.
