Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Permit to Work specialist to support the QF02 Project with GSK. You will issue and verify permits, conduct field assurance and maintain documentation to ensure safety and compliance across contractor activities.

Based on a two-year fixed-term role, you will engage with project teams and site operations, promoting a proactive safety culture and ensuring adherence to PTW procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience operating within a safety-critical, technical, engineering, facilities management, manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.
• Knowledge of contractor control processes and risk assessments.
• Experience using electronic Permit to Work systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated Permit to Work support for project activities and site safety requirements.
• Issue, review and authorise permits in line with PTW procedures.
• Conduct regular Gemba walks and field assurance to verify controls.
• Maintain accurate permit records and documentation for audit readiness.
• Coordinate contractor management and ensure compliance with site expectations.
• Support site audits, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
