Job summary

ACCA in Glasgow is seeking a full-time Authorisation Officer on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role sits in the Authorisation team and supports governance standards by assessing eligibility for non-audit practising certificates, processing renewals, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Ability to apply knowledge and judgment in complex situations.
• Excellent interpersonal communication with internal and external customers.

• Capable of multi-tasking under tight deadlines with competing priorities.
• IT literate with fast and accurate data input and knowledge of MS Office; Oracle database experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for assessing member eligibility to hold a non-audit practising certificate.
• Assess practising certificate experience forms and training records per ACCA procedures.
• Maintain the WIP tracker to reflect pending work.
• Process annual renewals of practising certificates with financial payments.
• Provide high-quality customer service via email, correspondence and phone.
• Administer key information in ACCA member and firm databases.
• Perform regulator-to-regulator status checks.
• Process various other applications per ACCA policies.
