Cooper Parry in Manchester is seeking an Audit Trainee to join a tight-knit team delivering statutory audits for a varied client base. You will gain hands-on experience from day one and work towards ACA qualification while balancing study commitments with client-facing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Completed degree or equivalent and the A Levels requirement (BBC) including a numerical or business subject.
• Interest in Audit and the path to ACA qualification.
• Committed to study while working and balancing priorities.
• Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced firm.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and documenting client information — invoices, bank statements, payroll reports
• Assessing the accuracy and reliability of financial data
• Attending client year-end stocktakes (weekends/around Christmas)
• Communicating with client finance teams to understand systems and processes
• Assisting in preparing financial statements using audit software
• Working in small teams to perform financial testing and contribute to audit reports
• Meeting deadlines and supporting the team to deliver high-quality work
