Job summary

A Wolverhampton-based audit team is seeking an Audit Senior to join a well-regarded mid-tier accountancy firm. You will lead audits from planning to completion, collaborate with Managers and Partners, and ensure work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

You’ll review junior staff work, manage on-site and remote fieldwork across diverse clients, and help develop technical accounting and reporting skills in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• ACA / ACCA qualified or finalist.
• Experience auditing within an accountancy practice.
• Ability to lead audits or major sections of engagements.

Responsibilities

• Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Managing on-site and remote fieldwork across a range of clients.
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients during audit engagements.
• Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing guidance where needed.
• Preparing statutory accounts alongside audit work.

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.

The role

A well-regarded mid-tier accountancy firm is looking to appoint an Audit Senior to join its Wolverhampton team. This is a varied role offering exposure to a broad portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, with responsibility for delivering audit assignments from planning through to completion.

You’ll work closely with Managers and Partners, taking ownership of fieldwork, supporting junior team members, and ensuring audits are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
