Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
• Strong audit and assurance experience
• Good knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards
• Experience leading audit assignments and liaising with clients
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proactive and professional approach to client service
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
• Experience with owner-managed businesses and SME clients advantageous

Responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion with managers, directors and clients
• Mentor junior team members and provide constructive feedback
• Plan, conduct and complete audits in line with professional standards
• Prepare audit files and supporting documentation
• Build relationships with clients and act as a key contact during audits
• Identify audit risks and provide practical recommendations
• Assist with statutory accounts preparation where required
• Support managers/directors with client service delivery and business development initiatives
• Contribute to the development of junior staff through coaching and mentoring

Key responsibilities will include:

• As an Audit Senior, you will take responsibility for leading audit assignments from planning through to completion, working closely with managers, directors and clients across a broad range of sectors.


• You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service whilst supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.


• Leading audit assignments for a varied portfolio of clients.


• Planning, conducting and completing audits in accordance with professional standards.


• Preparing audit files and supporting documentation.


• Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing constructive feedback.


• Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact throughout the audit process.


• Identifying audit risks and providing practical recommendations.


• Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts where required.


• Supporting managers and directors with client service delivery and business development initiatives.


• Contributing to the development of junior staff through coaching and mentoring.

What you'll need to succeed

• To be successful in this role, you will be ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience with previous audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.


• Strong audit and assurance experience.


• Good knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards.


• Experience leading audit assignments and liaising directly with clients.


• Excellent organisational and time management skills.


• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.


• A proactive and professional approach to client service.


• The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.


• Experience working with owner-managed businesses and SME clients would be advantageous.
