Are you an ACA or ACCA-qualified auditor looking for greater responsibility, a varied client portfolio and clear opportunities to progress?
Due to continued growth and expansion, one of the North West’s leading independent accountancy practices is looking to appoint an Audit Senior to its Warringtonteam, paying £40,000 - £45,000. You’ll take responsibility for a portfolio spanning corporate SMEs, charities and academies, completing assignments with the support of an experienced management team.
Audit Senior Responsibilities:
- Managing audit assignments from planning through to completion under Manager supervision.
- Taking day-to-day responsibility for a varied portfolio of audit clients.
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts.
- Leading audit teams and coordinating work during client assignments.
- Reviewing audit work completed by junior colleagues.
- Identifying audit risks and escalating technical matters where appropriate.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout the audit process.
- Coaching and providing ongoing training to junior members of the team.
- Ensuring assignments are delivered accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines.
- Building strong, long-term relationships with clients across the corporate SME, charity and academies sectors.
Audit Senior Attributes:
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- A proven track record of external audit experience within a UK accountancy practice.
- Experience managing assignments across the complete audit cycle.
- Previous experience leading, coaching and supporting junior audit colleagues on-site.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of accounting and audit software.
- Organised and able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Self-motivated, proactive and committed to continued technical development.
- A positive and collaborative approach to working with clients and colleagues.
