ACA/ACCA qualified, or part-qualified, you will work with owner-managed businesses and SMEs, planning and delivering audits, leading onsite teams and developing junior staff.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or part-qualified.
• Experience working in external audit within an accountancy practice.
• Experience working on a range of audits, including owner-managed businesses.
• Strong technical audit and accounting knowledge.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Confident leading onsite audit teams.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to coach and support trainees and junior team members.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines.
• Tech-savvy with experience using audit and accounting software.
• Knowledge of CCH would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute audit assignments for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Lead onsite audit teams to ensure audits are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
• Prepare audit files and ensure all work is completed in line with relevant standards.
• Identify and resolve audit issues throughout the assignment process.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while working onsite.
• Act as a key point of contact for client queries during audit engagements.
• Gain a strong understanding of clients' businesses to deliver a tailored service.
• Work closely with audit managers and directors on audit planning and completion.
• Review work prepared by trainees and semi-senior team members.
• Coach, support and develop junior members of the audit team.
• Ensure audit deadlines are met and work is completed accurately.
• Support wider accounts and advisory teams where required.
