Audit Senior

Department: Audit

Description

As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in supervising audit engagements. With clear progression opportunities to Supervisory Audit Senior, this role offers significant career growth and development. The successful candidate will work closely with the audit manager and lead audits independently on-site.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Taking responsibility for audits from planning to completion across a range of owner-managed businesses, from small to large companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
  2. Planning, executing, and finalising audits, identifying key risk areas, and ensuring audit objectives are met.
  3. Participate in meetings with clients throughout all stages of the audit process, escalating/reporting back when needed to the audit manager/audit RI.
  4. Supervising, mentoring, and coaching junior team members to develop their technical abilities, soft skills, and client interaction.
  5. Managing and improving audit processes to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

We expect this person to have the following experience:

  1. Qualified Accountant: ACA/ ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.
  2. Leading Audits: Experience in leading audits, with the ability to make decisions and report back to the manager when needed.
  3. Audit Practice Experience: Strong background in audit and understanding of regulatory obligations and quality standards.
  4. Risk Assessment: Experience in identifying and assessing risks, implementing effective controls, and maintaining audit quality.
  5. Client Management: Strong client relationship management skills, able to build and maintain long-term relationships.
  6. Coaching and Mentoring: Experience in coaching and mentoring audit teams, enhancing both their technical and soft skills.
