Job summary

Bk Plus, a dynamic firm of Accountants on the outskirts of Cheltenham, is recruiting an Audit Senior. You will lead statutory audits and related assignments for a diverse client base, with 70% audit work and 30% accounts, reporting to the audit manager and partner.

The role requires ACA/ACCA/AAT (or equivalent by experience) and a strong IT skills including CCH tools, Xero and SAGE, plus a practical knowledge of FRS102 and Charity SORP. Benefits include death in service and other schemes.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/AAT or equivalent by experience.
• Significant experience in practice audits and accounts.
• Strong knowledge of FRS102 and Charity SORP.

Responsibilities

• Lead statutory audits from start to finish, including charity audits and solicitor rules, supervising juniors.
• Prepare standalone and consolidated statutory accounts under FRS102 and Charity SORP.
• Report directly to the audit manager and partner.
• Utilise CCH Audit Automation, CCH Accounts, Xero, SAGE 50 and MS Office.

An opportunity has arisen at a dynamic, expanding firm of Accountants, within its office on the outskirts of Cheltenham for an audit senior. This challenging, demanding and exciting role would be an ideal opportunity for a Practice experienced ACA/ACCA/AAT however qualification by experience would also be considered.

In your new role you will be required to carry out audit (70%) and accounts (30%) assignments for a number of clients.

Your new role will include the following:

• Leading statutory audits and independent examinations from start to finish, as well as specialist audits such as solicitor rules and charity audits, whilst supervising junior team members
• Preparing standalone and consolidated statutory accounts typically in accordance with FRS102 and Charity SORP
• Report directly to the audit manager and partner
• A good working knowledge of CCH Audit Automation, CCH Accounts, Xero, SAGE 50, SAGE Business Cloud and Microsoft Office is preferable.
