Job summary

eps.group services in Banbury is seeking an Audit Senior to run a varied portfolio of audit clients and take ownership of the work. You will sit close to the Directors, influence how the firm approaches audit and assurance, and help develop the junior team.

This is an audit-led seat with some accounts exposure, and relocators will be considered. Flexible working and a comprehensive benefits package are on offer as the firm supports career progression within a growing practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA or ACCA with audit leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of audit standards and FRS 102
• Proficiency with Xero, Sage or QuickBooks; Caseware or CCH a bonus
• Excellent communication and client-management skills

Responsibilities

• Leading audits from planning through to sign-off, including more complex clients
• Scoping assignments, setting deadlines and allocating the team's time
• Testing internal controls and giving clients practical, commercial recommendations
• Working directly with Directors and clients, and writing clear audit reports
• Supervising and developing junior colleagues
• Helping to improve the firm's audit, risk and assurance processes
• Some accounts preparation alongside the audit work

Audit Senior | Banbury | £45,000 – £55,000 | Permanent

A growing, forward-thinking accountancy practice is looking for an Audit Senior to run a varied portfolio of audit clients and take real ownership of the work. You will sit close to the Directors, shape how the firm approaches audit and assurance, and help bring on the junior team.

This is an audit-led seat with some accounts exposure, so you will keep a broad skill set rather than being boxed into one corner. Relocators will be considered.

What you'll be doing

• Leading audits from planning through to sign-off, including more complex clients
• Scoping assignments, setting deadlines and allocating the team's time
• Testing internal controls and giving clients practical, commercial recommendations
• Working directly with Directors and clients, and writing clear audit reports

What you'll bring

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Proven experience leading audit teams in practice
• Solid grounding in audit standards and FRS 102
