Job summary

TC Group in Glasgow is seeking an Audit Manager to lead and deliver audits across client portfolios, with direct collaboration to the Audit Partner. You will oversee on-site, off-site and remote teams while maintaining high standards of quality and client service.

The successful candidate will be a qualified CA/ACCA/ACA with at least 2 years post-qualification experience, strong UK GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA/ACCA/ACA with at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience of working in practice and understanding auditing standards.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP and Company Law.
• Experience with not-for-profit sector audits is desirable.
• Excellent IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance.
• Lead on-site, off-site and remote audit teams with hands-on leadership.
• Maintain high technical audit knowledge and respond to training.
• Communicate progress to clients and partners, handling expectations.
• Manage budgeting, timescales and potential additional billing.
• Recruitment, development and motivation of the team.
• Ensure risk management and quality control procedures are followed.
• Provide high-level technical guidance on accounts matters.
• Liaise with clients on audit planning and progress.
• Advise on risk and potential impacts in a structured way.
• Utilise audit analytics and cloud accounting tools as appropriate.
