Job summary

Broadgate in Glasgow is seeking an Audit Manager to lead a diverse portfolio, mentor the next generation, and shape the practice's future. You will run end-to-end audit engagements for commercial, owner-managed and charity clients, working closely with Partners and Directors on delivery and growth.

Hybrid setup based in the Glasgow office with client sites across the Glasgow/Edinburgh region. The successful candidate will apply strong technical auditing skills, manage planning through sign-off,

An ambitious audit team in Glasgow needs an Audit Manager who's ready to step up, managing a diverse portfolio, mentoring the next generation, and helping shape where the practice goes next.

The role, in short: you'll run audit engagements end-to-end for a mix of commercial, owner-managed and charity clients, while working closely with Partners and Directors on both delivery and growth.

Responsibilities include:

• Portfolio & delivery — manage engagements from planning to sign-off, run multiple assignments at once, keep quality and profitability on track
• Client relationships — be the trusted face clients come back to, and the one who spots opportunities for more
• Technical leadership — review work, uphold standards, keep the bar high
• People development — coach and mentor junior colleagues as they grow
• Commercial input — contribute to networking, BD, and strategic growth with Partners and Directors

Requirements:

• ACA / ACCA / ICAS (or equivalent)
• Significant post-qualification external audit experience in practice
• Proven portfolio management and stakeholder-handling skills
• A track record developing and mentoring others
• Strong technical grounding and the organisational chops to juggle it all
• Own reliable transport

Preferred:

• Experience with owner-managed businesses or charity clients
• Exposure to business development and networking activities
• Experience reviewing and signing off work produced by junior auditors
