Job summary

TC Alexander Sloan, now part of TC Group, is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join the Glasgow office. You will work with the Audit Partner to oversee client portfolios, lead on-site, off-site and remote teams, and ensure compliance and delivery of engagements.

The ideal candidate is a qualified CA/ACCA/ACA with at least 2 years post-qualification experience, practice background, strong technical knowledge, and people development skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA / ACCA / ACA with at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience.
• Experience working in practice and understanding auditing standards.
• Excellent IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in Not-for-Profit sector desirable.
• Familiarity with audit and accounts production software (Caseware/CCH).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of technical audit knowledge and awareness of emerging issues; participate in training.
• Act as a key point of contact for audit clients with timely progress updates.
• Complete engagements within budgets and timescales; identify potential additional billing.
• Ensure adherence to risk management and quality control procedures.
• Recruit, retain and develop team members; provide feedback and development plans.
• Lead planning, fieldwork and finalisation of audits; oversee remote and on-site teams.
• Provide guidance on accounts matters and audit analytics; liaise with clients on progress.
