Job summary

TC Alexander Sloan, now part of TC Group, invites applications for an Audit Manager based in Glasgow. The role involves leading on-site, off-site and remote audit teams, collaborating with the Audit Partner to manage a portfolio of clients and ensure compliance with audit standards.

The successful candidate will supervise planning, fieldwork and finalisation, drive business development opportunities, and mentor junior staff while maintaining high technical audit knowledge and client service

Qualifications

• Qualified CA / ACCA / ACA with at least 2 years post-qualification experience
• Experience in practice and auditing standards
• Knowledge of UK GAAP and Company Law
• Experience with audit software – Caseware / CCH
• Experience using Xero and cloud accounting is desirable
• Clean driving licence and access to own vehicle

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of technical audit knowledge and awareness of emerging issues – attend necessary training/development opportunities
• Act as a key point of contact within the firm for our audit clients, together with the Audit RI
• Complete engagements within budgets and timescales and identify potential opportunities for additional billing
• Ensure that the firm's risk management and quality control procedures are always adhered to
• Play an integral role in recruitment, retention, development and motivation of the team
• Oversee and lead the planning, fieldwork and finalisation of all areas of the audit
• Liaise with clients regarding audit planning, progress and conclusions, and make pro-active recommendations
• Provide a high level of technical guidance on accounts matters
• Demonstrate understanding of audit analytics
