MHA is seeking an Audit Manager in Gatwick to lead and supervise audit engagements, plan resources, and manage client relationships. You will ensure compliance with auditing and financial reporting standards, supervise staff, and deliver timely insights to clients while maintaining profitability.

Qualifications

• Up-to-date knowledge of auditing and financial reporting standards.
• ACA/ACCA qualification with practice experience is required.
• Ability to generate projections and comment on draft vs historic accounts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, control and review client work to ensure efficient delivery by allocating resources.
• Hold pre-audit meetings with clients to identify events impacting the business and areas needing attention.
• Prepare time budgets for assignments ensuring profitability while including non-audit work.
• Ensure detailed audit or accounts planning memos are completed by seniors.
• Allocate trainees to varied jobs to maximise training and experience.
• Complete 6-monthly appraisals and sign off training records for staff.
• Perform staff reviews after each job and provide development feedback.
• Manage day-to-day staff issues including holidays, training, and hours.
