Job summary

Autograph Recruitment, on behalf of its client in Newport, is seeking an Audit Manager to lead audits for a varied client base across sectors. The role is full-time, permanent, with hybrid working and 37.5 hours per week.

You will plan and deliver audits to ISA standards, manage client relationships, support accounts work and advisory projects, and mentor junior staff with progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified with relevant audit experience.
• Strong audit background essential.
• Confident communicator with excellent project management and IT skills.
• Commercially aware with ability to build long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and complete audit fieldwork and statutory reporting.
• Be main client contact and build trusted relationships.
• Support accounts preparation and provide technical insights.
• Coaching and development of junior staff.

The Opportunity

The Role

• Planning, leading and completing audit fieldwork and statutory reporting in line with International Auditing Standards
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, building strong and trusted relationships
• Supporting accounts preparation and offering technical insight where required
• Supporting projects such as forecasts, grant applications and financial due diligence
• Coaching, supervising and developing junior team members
• Working closely with Audit Partners and the wider team to maintain the highest professional and technical standards

The Ideal Candidate

• ACA / ACCA qualified, or part-qualified with relevant practical experience (QBE considered)
• Strong audit background (essential)
• Confident communicator with excellent project management and IT skills
• Commercially aware and able to build long-term client relationships
• Approachable, proactive and collaborative
