Job summary

Autograph Specialist Recruitment Limited is partnering with a growing accountancy practice in Newport to appoint an Audit Manager on a full-time, hybrid basis. You will lead audit fieldwork, liaise with clients and contribute to advisory work across a varied client base.

The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified (or part-qualified with relevant experience) and possess a strong audit background, together with excellent communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualification or part-qualification with relevant practical experience.
• Strong audit background (essential).
• Confident communicator with good project management and IT skills.
• Commercially aware with ability to build long-term client relationships.
• Approachable, proactive and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and complete audit fieldwork and statutory reporting in line with International Auditing Standards.
• Act as main point of contact for clients and build trusted relationships.
• Support accounts preparation and provide technical insight.
• Support projects such as forecasts, grant applications and due diligence.
• Coach, supervise and develop junior team members.
• Work with Audit Partners to maintain high professional standards.

Job Title: Audit Manager | Location: Newport | Position: Full Time / Permanent (Hybrid) | Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday | Salary: Competitive + Annual Bonus (D.O.E)

The Opportunity

The Role

• Planning, leading and completing audit fieldwork and statutory reporting in line with International Auditing Standards

• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, building strong and trusted relationships

• Supporting accounts preparation and offering technical insight where required

• Supporting projects such as forecasts, grant applications and financial due diligence

• Coaching, supervising and developing junior team members

• Working closely with Audit Partners and the wider team to maintain the highest professional and technical standards

The Ideal Candidate

• ACA / ACCA qualified, or part-qualified with relevant practical experience (QBE considered)

• Strong audit background (essential)

• Confident communicator with excellent project management and IT skills

• Commercially aware and able to build long-term client relationships
