Job summary

Autograph Recruitment are working alongside a leading, independent accountancy practice in Newport. This full-time, hybrid role offers exposure to audit and accounts preparation within a varied client base across multiple sectors.

The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified with strong audit experience, and possess excellent client communication and project management skills. 37.5 hours, with a competitive salary and annual bonus DOE.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and complete audit fieldwork and statutory reporting per ISA.
• Main client contact, building trusted relationships.
• Support accounts preparation and provide technical insight.
• Support projects such as forecasts, grants and due diligence.
• Coach and develop junior team members.
• Collaborate with Audit Partners to maintain high standards.

The Opportunity

The Role

• Planning, leading and completing audit fieldwork and statutory reporting in line with International Auditing Standards
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, building strong and trusted relationships
• Supporting accounts preparation and offering technical insight where required
• Supporting projects such as forecasts, grant applications and financial due diligence
• Coaching, supervising and developing junior team members
• Working closely with Audit Partners and the wider team to maintain the highest professional and technical standards

The Ideal Candidate

• ACA / ACCA qualified, or part-qualified with relevant practical experience (QBE considered)
• Strong audit background (essential)
• Confident communicator with excellent project management and IT skills
• Commercially aware and able to build long-term client relationships
• Approachable, proactive and collaborative
