Job summary

Broadgate in Manchester is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead a growing audit team within a hybrid working model. You will manage a diverse client portfolio, including owner-managed businesses and charities, while developing junior staff and strengthening long-term relationships.

You will collaborate with Partners and Directors to drive service excellence, support leadership development and contribute to the growth of the audit practice across Greater Manchester and the North West.

Qualifications

  • ACA/ACCA/ICAS or equivalent professional qualification.
  • External audit experience gained within practice.
  • Significant post-qualified audit experience.
  • Proven experience managing audit portfolios.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and developing team members.
  • Strong technical audit knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage audit engagements from planning through to completion.
  • Lead and oversee a portfolio of audit clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Review audit work and ensure technical excellence across engagements.
  • Coach, mentor and develop junior team members.

Lead, Develop and Grow Within a High-Performing Audit Team An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Audit Manager to join a growing and ambitious audit team in Manchester.
This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of commercial businesses, owner-managed companies and charities while leading audit engagements, developing team members and building long-term client relationships.
Working as part of a collaborative leadership team, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services, supporting the development of junior colleagues and contributing to the continued success and growth of the audit practice.
The position operates within a flexible hybrid working model, with regular presence across the Manchester office, client sites and the wider Greater Manchester and North West audit region.
The Opportunity This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced audit professional looking to take ownership of a client portfolio while developing their leadership, commercial and business development capabilities.

Essential Requirements
  • ACA, ACCA, ICAS or equivalent professional qualification
