Job summary

Broadgate in Bolton is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead a high-performing audit team within a flexible hybrid model across Bolton and client sites in the North West. You will manage a diverse portfolio of commercial businesses, owner-managed companies and charities, delivering high-quality audits and developing junior colleagues.

You will work with Partners and Directors to drive client service excellence, grow the practice and support business development activities while coaching

Qualifications

  • ACA, ACCA, ICAS or equivalent professional qualification.
  • External audit experience gained within practice.
  • Proven experience managing audit portfolios.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and developing team members.
  • Strong technical audit knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities.
  • Experience working with commercial, owner-managed businesses and charities.
  • Exposure to business development and networking activities.
  • Experience reviewing and signing off work produced by junior auditors.
  • Strong commercial awareness and profitability management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage audit engagements from planning through to completion.

Lead, Develop and Grow Within a High-Performing Audit Team An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Audit Manager to join a growing and ambitious audit team in Bolton.

This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of commercial businesses, owner-managed companies and charities while leading audit engagements, developing team members and building long-term client relationships.

Working as part of a collaborative leadership team, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services, supporting the development of junior colleagues and contributing to the continued success and growth of the audit practice.

The position operates within a flexible hybrid working model, with regular presence across the Bolton office, client sites and the wider Greater Manchester and North West audit region.

The Opportunity

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced audit professional looking to take ownership of a client portfolio while developing their leadership, commercial and business development capabilities.
