This Audit Manager opportunity offers the chance to join a well-established accountancy practice with an ambitious outlook, where you'll have the autonomy to manage assignments from planning through to completion while working closely with senior leadership.

As Audit Manager, you'll take responsibility for delivering high-quality audit engagements, acting as a key point of contact for clients and supporting the development of more junior members of the team.

The role combines technical audit expertise with client management, commercial awareness and team leadership, making it well suited to a qualified accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career within a progressive accountancy environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing audit assignments from initial planning through to completion
• Building trusted relationships with clients and acting as a key contact throughout engagements
• Reviewing work and providing coaching, guidance and constructive feedback to junior team members
• Preparing and monitoring budgets, managing workflow and addressing any variances
• Keeping assignments on track in terms of time, quality and profitability
• Ensuring work complies with relevant accounting, auditing and regulatory standards
• Working closely with Directors and senior colleagues to deliver an effective service
• Identifying issues during audits and providing practical recommendations
• Supporting a collaborative team culture and contributing to the development of colleagues
• Managing day-to-day client and engagement administration as required

What We're Looking For

You’ll ideally be ACA, ACCA or similarly qualified, with solid practice experience across audit and accounts.

You’ll also bring:

• Strong knowledge of audit methodology and relevant accounting standards, including FRS and IFRS
• Experience managing audits and coordinating multiple assignments
• Confidence communicating with clients at different levels
• Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior team members
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good commercial awareness and an organised approach to managing deadlines
• A proactive attitude and the ability to take ownership of client work

Experience with audit software such as CCH or Inflo would be useful, although training can be provided.
