Job summary

Fletcher George in Croydon is seeking an Audit Manager to lead statutory audits from planning through to completion, working hybrid in the London area. You will manage engagements for owner‑managed businesses, charities and LLPs, with turnover up to GBP50 million.

The role offers a salary in the region of GBP60,000–GBP65,000 plus discretionary bonus and 25 days holiday, with clear opportunities for career progression within a respected practice.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification is required.
• Strong external audit experience within UK practice.
• Proven experience leading audits through to completion.
• Up‑to‑date technical knowledge, including Clarity ISAs and UK GAAP.
• Experience supervising and developing junior team members.
• Commercially minded with excellent communication and client relationships.
• Self‑motivated, organised and able to manage multiple deadlines.

Join a highly respected firm of Chartered Accountants, servicing clients primarily across Surrey, South West London and Central London, working with owner–managed businesses, charities and LLPs across a broad range of sectors.

As an Audit Manager, you will take ownership of a varied audit portfolio, leading engagements from planning through to completion while acting as the key point of contact for clients. You'll work with businesses ranging from growing SMEs to organisations with turnovers exceeding GBP50 million.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage statutory audits from planning through to completion (approximately 90% of the role)
• Review audit files, ensuring compliance with UK auditing standards and Clarity ISAs
• Manage audit budgets, timelines and engagement delivery
• Act as the primary contact for clients throughout the audit process
• Identify audit issues and provide practical, commercial recommendations
• Supervise, coach and develop junior members of the audit team
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development opportunities
• Assist with statutory accounts preparation and other compliance work where required (approximately 10% of the role)

About You
