Job summary

The Skills Coalition is seeking an Audit Manager in Coventry. You will lead audits across varied industries, act as the main client contact, and mentor junior staff.

The role emphasizes delivering high-quality audits, developing people and supporting business growth within a forward-thinking firm. Ideal candidates will hold ACA/ACCA credentials with 5+ years post-qualification experience and demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills in a practice environment.

Qualifications

  • ACA / ACCA qualified with at least 5 years post-qualified experience.
  • Strong background in audit within practice.
  • Experience with FRS102, OMBs, groups, FCA clients, IFRS or charities is a plus.
  • Excellent communicator with strong leadership skills.
  • Enjoy building client relationships and developing people.

Responsibilities

As Audit Manager, you’ll be the go-to person for clients, leading audits across a variety of industries and helping businesses achieve their goals. Key Responsibilities


  • Act as the main contact for a diverse client portfolio

  • Lead audit engagements, ensuring compliance and high standards

  • Support business development by attending meetings and winning new work

  • Mentor and appraise trainees and junior staff, guiding their career growth

  • Plan audit assignments and oversee staff scheduling

  • Work closely with Directors and other managers to improve processes and spot cross-selling opportunities

  • Stay up to date with best practice and technical developments, sharing knowledge with the team


What We’re Looking For


  • ACA / ACCA qualified with at least 5 years’ post-qualified experience

  • Strong background in audit within practice

  • Experience with FRS102, OMBs, groups, FCA clients, IFRS or charities is a plus

  • Excellent communicator with strong leadership skills

  • Someone who enjoys building client relationships and developing people
