Job summary

Space 8 Recruitment are supporting a Coventry-based client to recruit an Audit Manager. The role involves managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, charities and other clients, and planning, managing and reviewing audit assignments.

You will review statutory accounts under UK frameworks, monitor profitability and billing, ensure deadlines are met, and supervise junior staff while identifying value-added opportunities. Hybrid working available.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent is required.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK accounts and tax compliance.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.

Space 8 Recruitment are thrilled to be supporting our Coventry-based client to recruit an Audit Manager. This highly-motivated and dynamic Accountancy Practice was established over 50 years ago and thrives today with a3000 strong client base covering all of the UK.

The Role:

• Managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, companies, charities and other clients, you will act as the primary point of contact, providing proactive support and advice.
• Plan, manage and review audit assignments
• Review statutory accounts prepared under relevant UK accounting frameworks.
• Monitor portfolio profitability, work-in-progress and billing.
• Ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Identify opportunities to provide additional value-added services to clients.

What are we looking for?

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
• Approximately 4-5 years' post-qualification experience.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK accounts and tax compliance.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Audit experience, including planning and reviewing audit assignments.
• Experience supervising and developing staff.
