Job summary

TPF Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a well established accountancy practice in Gatwick to recruit an Audit Executive. The role suits a newly qualified ACA/ACCA or someone with around 12 months post-qualification experience, offering progression in audit leadership within a supportive environment.

You will manage client communications, plan audits, supervise junior staff and help develop the team while maintaining high quality standards and strong client relationships. Hybrid working available.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualification with accountancy practice experience.
• Newly qualified status or around 1 year post-qualification experience.
• Experience on audit assignments including planning, fieldwork and review.

Responsibilities

• Managing client correspondence and maintaining effective communication throughout the audit process.
• Coordinating audit schedules and confirming timings with clients.
• Planning audits, identifying key risks and determining evidence gathering approaches.
• Preparing budgets and monitoring progress against timeframes and fees.
• Delegating, supervising and reviewing work by senior and junior staff.
• Providing feedback and supporting development of the wider team.
• Ensuring audit files are complete and ready for final review by Managers/Partners.
• Managing your own client portfolio and maintaining high service standards.
• Undertaking complex audits and monitoring work in progress.
• Communicating potential delays or write-offs to senior management.
• Ensuring filing deadlines and statutory submissions are met on time.
• Identifying opportunities to introduce clients to other services.
