Job summary

TPF Recruitment are supporting a well-regarded Chartered Accountants firm in Newbury in their search for an Audit Assistant Manager to join their growing team. You will lead audits for a varied client base, review work of junior staff and help deliver high-quality statutory accounts in line with UK standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a UK Chartered Accountants firm.
• Strong audit experience with planning, completion and file review responsibilities.
• Experience supervising or reviewing junior team members.
• Good knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards.

Responsibilities

• Leading audits for a varied portfolio of clients across sectors.
• Planning and coordinating audit assignments to ensure high-quality work.
• Reviewing junior team members' work and providing coaching.
• Managing audit fieldwork on-site and remotely.
• Liaising with clients and maintaining relationships throughout the audit process.
• Identifying risks and resolving technical audit/ accounting matters.
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts to standards.
• Monitoring budgets and deadlines to ensure delivery.
• Supporting managers and partners with advisory work and business development.
• Contributing to training and development of junior staff.
