TPF Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a growing accountancy practice in Luton to hire an Audit and Accounts Senior for a hybrid role. You will lead mid-tier audits, supervise junior staff, and ensure compliance with UK GAAP and UK Auditing Standards.

Qualifications

• Pursuing ACA/ACCA with solid academic performance.
• Minimum 2 years UK audit experience in a UK-based firm.
• Strong UK GAAP and UK Auditing Standards knowledge.
• Experience in audit fieldwork, including transaction testing and balance verification.
• Proficiency in audit software CaseWare/TeamMate and advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to work independently.
• Commitment to professionalism, ethics and audit quality.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and work in a hybrid model.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit fieldwork for mid-tier clients with timely, compliant delivery.
• Apply UK GAAP and UKAS in preparation and documentation of financial statements and workpapers.
• Perform risk assessments, evaluate internal controls, and design audit procedures.
• Mentor and supervise junior team members; provide technical guidance.
• Prepare and review audit schedules, reconciliations, and working papers to firm standards.
• Serve as primary client contact; manage queries and document submissions.
• Contribute to audit planning, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Document significant findings and issues for escalation to Managers/Partners.
• Stay updated on evolving accounting standards and audit regulations.
