Job summary

Pro-Finance is seeking an Audit Director in Leeds to lead external audits for SME clients, under RI sign-off, driving quality, technical excellence, and client relationships. The role supports a collaborative, growth-oriented firm with hybrid working options and clear career progression.

The successful candidate will oversee audit delivery, manage a high-performing team, and contribute to business development and service improvements within the office and region.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with RI status.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS102, IFRS, and ISAs.
• Proven track record leading audit teams and managing clients.
• Commercially minded and client-focused with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must have a valid UK driving licence and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Act as RI signatory on audit files and provide robust technical oversight.
• Lead on firm-wide audit compliance and technical queries.
• Oversee the delivery of high-quality audits to clients in the SME sector.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, acting as their go-to advisor.
• Develop and manage a high-performing audit team, serving as a motivational role model.
• Identify and provide added-value services to clients.
• Play an active role in business development, winning new work and supporting office growth.
